WHO WE NEED:
In this newly created role, the Internal Operations Project Manager is expected to manage multiple projects tied to continuous improvement, internal processes, and customer satisfaction. This role is focused on managing all the organization’s internal projects together; directing projects so they align with top-level goals and managing the dependencies which exist between projects.
- You are a self-starter, highly organized and able to multitask
- You have the foundational knowledge and skills that a project team demands
- You are familiar with change management
- You possess a CAMP, PMP, or are on track to obtain either one
- You are able to manage meetings effectively
- You have strong analytical skills that allow you to understand process and evaluate impact after change
- You have strong negotiation and leadership skills
- You are flexible and comfortable working with all areas of the organization and presenting in front of an Executive Team
- You have experience understanding the relationships and impacts between different organizational functions
- You have 3-5 years of experience managing projects at different levels, involving cross-organizational teams
- You have experience managing both internal and external stakeholders
- Bonus points if you have worked for a software company
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Drive multiple projects, different in nature, requiring different speed and resources. 85% to 90% of workload is expected to be driven by internal stakeholders, mostly executives. The remainder of the projects will be driven by external stakeholders (customers).
- Identify, track, evaluate and prioritize internal project workload.
- Defining project deliverables, creating milestones and documenting and mitigating risks and change requests.
- Ensure projects are tracked and on time, schedule, and budget.
- Lead and collaborate with team members from multiple departments (ex: Sales, Support, Development, etc.) to manage the overall scope of each project. Establish clear ownership for project tasks and ensure team members have necessary tools and resources to achieve completion.
- Work closely with our Internal Compliance team; Identify functional gaps and process inefficiencies, then work with impacted teams to drive solutions. This role contributes to the creation of a standard process and practices across the organization.
- Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
